Most people would only know that my father, Arnold Schoenberg was a composer, painter, teacher and theoretician. But he also had many hobbies including designing playing cards. And I always wanted to produce copies of his designs that could actually be used for playing. It was my intention to demonstrate the much less serious side of his creativity, something that a family could easily enjoy. Unfortunately, we were among the victims of the Palisades fire and lost our home and our home-based business which included our complete inventory of the playing cards.
We wrote all of the music printers, music publishers and, of course Shuffled Ink to inquire about ordering replacements. To our astonishment Shuffled Ink responded immediately by producing and sending us copies of our last order at no charge. We are so grateful for their amazingly generous response.
