Ledgewood Fine Stationery Flexes Their Craft for an Elegant Texas Celebration

For this Texas wedding, Frances Ledgewood and the team at Ledgewood Fine Stationery created a custom deck of playing cards that doubled as an elegant seating chart display.

The project featured a hand-painted watercolor illustration of the couple’s wedding venue paired with their custom duogram in the upper left-hand corner of each card design. Every deck was packaged in a clear acrylic box and wrapped with a personalized belly band featuring each guest’s name and table assignment.

The result was both functional and decorative, giving guests a unique keepsake while creating a memorable display for the wedding itself.

Bringing a Client’s Wedding Vision to Life

“Our client was the true inspiration behind this design,” Frances explains. “The mother of the bride came to us with the creative idea, and we were thrilled to bring her vision to life.”

The artwork for the cards was created by Ledgewood Fine Stationery’s in-house watercolor artist, Christina Green, who hand-painted the custom venue illustration specifically for the project. The couple’s elegant duogram, designed by Shuler Studio, was then incorporated into the final layout to add a personalized finishing touch.

Together, the watercolor artwork and refined typography created a design that felt timeless, meaningful, and tailored specifically to the couple’s celebration.

Frances says one of the best parts of the process is collaborating with clients to transform personal ideas into keepsakes they can treasure long after the wedding day. When asked how it feels introducing the finished project to others, her answer was simple: “Happy!”
